The Ceylon was built in 1895, demolished in the 1920's, and I never heard of it before I started collecting these post card images.
The few odd facts I know about the Ceylon: It stood just east of the triangle; there used to be a gas station there, maybe still is. I believe it stood on Bridge Street between Murray's livery and the the Central Hotel.
The hotel owned an omnibus that went to the train station twice a day to pick up passengers; that's probably it in the left foreground of the bottom photo.
