Hi. There's not much new to drivel about, so this should be an especially productive drivel-a-thon. Prepare to be drivelized.
After weeks of waiting, I finally got to see the optometrist, so I'll be getting a pair of more or less normal glasses in 2 - 3 weeks, and I can once again retire these BCGs for a while.
Not that wearing them hasn't been worthwhile. Almost everybody I work with had to make at least a passing comment on how they looked, or made me look, or they just laughed. Last week, one of them turned up wearing his own BCGs after he broke his regular glasses. I had to say something, because that's just the kind of guy I am.
But before I put regular specs back on my face, I thought I'd give you the chance to have a look at me and my mysteriously magical birth control glasses. This photo is from the Christmas party that Barb and I went to Friday night.
The snow's finally coming down again here; I'm tempted to say that Tim wasn't quite this happy even on Christmas morning. Although that's probably not entirely true, he's certainly bouncing off the walls at least as much, you can be sure.
Accumulation is light, with no more than an inch so far, but already it looks more like Christmas than Christmas did. I'll have to go update the Misawa Snow Cam now, dammit.
